For the first time in Signature Scene's history, Trancite Logic Systems delivered the software to a federal customer. The Transportation Safety Institute (TSI) purchased the software to help its investigators and instructors. TSI is a training arm of The Research and Innovative Technology Administration (RITA) whose parent organization is the Department of Transportation (DOT). TSI certifies public officials in the business of safety and risk management.“There are many forms to be completed and diagrams to be created for each risk assessment and accident investigation and for that Signature Scene is a perfect fit,” said Any McMinn, TSI Instructor and Senior Air Safety Investigator.
“It’s the right product for what we do,” he said. “Until now we have been unable to find a product that gives us everything we need in one, like Signature Scene.”
It’s not surprising that Signature Scene is such a good fit. The software was designed, in part, by the users in the field. Many of the unique features started out as requests and so field users are getting exactly what they need to do the job.
“At Trancite we understand that “tip of the spear” users in the law enforcement, government, military and commercial sectors are subject matter experts – not IT engineers,” said Josh Evarts, Chief Executive Officer of Trancite Logic Systems. “Any technology we design must put their mission first and not create a burden of use and Trancite always seeks to be the industry leader in the development of such technology.”
The future of a TSI and Trancite relationship is to introduce other Federal safety organizations to the “all-in-one” reporting featured in Signature Scene, and help those organizations save time and money while increasing efficiency.
