FBI And Trancite Continue Development Of New Evidence Collection Management System.

Trancite Logic Systems has recently delivered the first year’s development of the new Evidence Collection Management (ECM) system for the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI). Upon review the FBI has exercised the 1st option year with Trancite to continue the development and piloting of the system through 2009.

Trancite will now focus on enhancing ECM as an automated and wireless system that will, completely revolutionize the FBI’s evidence collection process.

Though much development is still needed, ECM did recently pass an intrusion test conducted by FBI and NSA agents, that determined the strength and viability of the wireless aspects of the system. The success of this test has both FBI and Trancite officials very optimistic in regards to the future of this system.

The FBI will roll out ECM in phased deployments and hopes to have the completed system in agents’ hands by late 2010 or early 2011.
