Trancite Aids Elk River PD in Eliminating Paper Waste
The Elk River Police Department was recently recognized with the Innovation in Information Technology award. Awarded annually by the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP), this international and highly competitive award is given to inventive law enforcement agencies that use advanced technologies to solve existing problems. The Elk River PD was granted this honor for their Paperless Implementation Project, a system of field-based reporting and record keeping that eliminated paper waste. Apart from being environmentally friendly, this project eliminated redundant data and data entry delays, cutting down on office costs by $15,000 a year. Trancite Management Systems ScenePD helped to make this paperless reporting, recording, and saving possible. Congratulations to the Elk River Police Department for their prestigious award and environmentally friendly innovations.
