ATTAC Significantly Increases Productivity

A first time study was recently conducted on the Trancite Logic Systems product ATTAC, a field-based diagramming and reporting program for the armed forces. Researchers analyzed the time it took to create a full storyboard with ATTAC as compared to conventional methods, finding ATTAC saved time significantly.

The research revealed that it took approximately 65 minutes to create a full storyboard using conventional methods. In contrast, an experience ATTAC user completed the same storyboard in a mere 17 minutes, almost 75 percent faster than without ATTAC. Likewise, the researchers found that creating the required one-slide summary of an incident is similarly benefited, taking 12 minutes with a new ATTAC user as compared to the prior 23 minutes.

This has considerable implications: with the use of ATTAC the military can spend significantly less time reporting incidents and significantly more time responding to them, thereby increasing productivity.

“This is hard evidence that our work will benefit soldiers,” says Trancite Manager, Mark McCutchan. “Consistency of reporting makes the reports easier to consume by management while providing more data for analysts. This saves time and possibly even lives.”
